Secure Network Interface Board: SNIB2
SNIB2: The highly secure, high performance Ethernet card for Hirsch controllers. The SNIB2 brings the extremely secure AES (Rijndael) encryption to DIGI*TRAC controller communications. And performance is taken to new levels with 10/100 Ethernet, 115KBps RS485, and a new XNet2 protocol.
The SNIB2 networks DIGI*TRAC controllers to the Velocity (version 2.6 SP2 or later) server via 10/100 Ethernet (TCP/IP). It offers optically isolated RS-485 communication for multidrop between SNIB2s at baud rates up to 115KBps. And it provides AES (Rijndael) encryption between host PC and master SNIB2, and between master SNIB2 and downstream SNIB2s. The master SNIB2 includes integrated XBox functionality for globalization.
SCRAMBLE*NET
is a family of network components providing high-security,
encrypted connections between a host PC and one or more
DIGI*TRAC controllers. SCRAMBLE*NET supports multi-drop
and direct connections over a variety of media for local,
remote and dial-up configurations. Available SCRAMBLE*NET
components include:
SCRAMBLE*NET Interface Board (SNIB): The SNIB
is a network interface card designed to be installed
in a DIGI*TRAC controller to enable the controller
to be programmed, monitored and controlled from
a local or remote PC.
NET*MUX4™ Network Multiplexor: The NET*MUX4
enables segmentation of the SCRAMBLE*NET communication
path into as many as four optically isolated segments
for greater distance and survivability. It is also
used to extend SCRAMBLE*NET communications to multiple
single-ended segments such as leased phone lines
and fiber optic cables.
XBox SCRAMBLE*NET Gateway: The XBox™ provides
a high-speed gateway from a host PC to a network
of DIGI*TRAC controllers.
Fiber Optic Link/Transceivers: Optical fiber can
be used for SCRAMBLE*NET communication paths by
using Hirsch’s Fiber Optic Link Network (FLN).
Modems: A variety of modems are offered including
dial-up and leased-line/short-haul modems.
