Hirsch is pleased to make available at no charge the following Velocity 2.6 SP2 updates including integration with the Integral DVXi family of DVRs, support for the Intellex 4.0 software, a Velocity Graphics performance update, and Enrollment Manager Updates 1.1 and 1.2.

Important Installation Notes:  It is important to understand these updates need to be installed in the correct order, because each update was developed in a specific order and they may share programs.  Each update has a comprehensive ReadMe file that must be read prior to each installation. 

• The system must be running Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2 (Build 2.6.1.27)
• Every update must be applied to the Velocity server/workstation and each Velocity client computer.
• Mobile Velocity can be installed at any time and is not dependant on the updates to function correctly.

Velocity 2.6 SP2 Graphics Update

This update addresses performance and reliability issues when running Velocity Graphics systems in high transaction rate environments.  This update may only be applied to Velocity systems running Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2 (Build 2.6.1.27).  This update is a module replacement only and is not considered a service pack so the build number will not change for your system.  The Help > About menu will display the fact that this update has been applied.  It is recommended that customers apply this update to their system if they are experiencing Graphics reliability or performance issues.  The update must be run on the Velocity server and then all Velocity clients in that order.

Details: This update enhances the Velocity Enrollment Manager with the ability to enroll people using FIPS 201 compliant DESFire cards, business card, drivers' license and passport scanners.  This enables you to quickly enroll visitors using business cards, drivers' licenses or passports virtually eliminating the tedious and error prone manual data entry process.  Additionally, the update enables you to link User Defined Field data to credentials.  This is particularly helpful for agencies using FIPS 201 compliant DESFire smart cards.  Using this update you can read data stored in the CHUID container and extract the FASC-N number, and then use these fields to create custom card formats to be used for authentication.  Note:  This update may only be applied to Velocity systems running Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2 (Build 2.6.1.27).  This update is a module replacement only and is not considered a service pack, so the build number will not change for your system.  The Help > About menu will display the fact that this update has been applied.  The update must be run on the Velocity server and then all Velocity clients in that order. 

This update enables the Velocity Enrollment Manager with the 1.1 update applied to allow the Velocity Import Wizard to support the use of the Credential Templates using the mapped data fields.  The Enrollment Manager 1.1 update enables the user to map User Defined Fields to the Credential Card Data field.   Note:  This update may only be applied to Velocity systems running Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2 (Build 2.6.1.27) with the Velocity 2.6 SP2 Enrollment Manager 1.1 Update applied.  This update is a module replacement only and is not considered a service pack so the build number will not change for your system.  The Help > About menu will display the fact that this update has been applied.  The update must be run on the Velocity server and then all Velocity clients in that order.

This update enhances the Velocity 2.6 SP2 with the Intellex 4.0 API. This will enable Velocity 2.6 SP2 with this update applied to interface with Intellex DVRs running either the 3.2 or 4.0 versions of their software.  Note:  This update may only be applied to Velocity systems running Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2 (Build 2.6.1.27).  The Help > About menu will display the fact that this update has been applied.  The update must be run on the Velocity server and then all Velocity clients in that order.
